Want to take your block printing skills a step further? At this workshop you will choose your own combinations of colour and motifs to create a pattern design for a lampshade.
Karené will show you how to print with hand-carved wooden blocks from India. Karené has over 50 blocks/motifs and 12 colours to choose from for your design. You will practice printing on paper and once you have decided on your design, you will print onto fabric. We will then use your piece of fabric to make your own 30 cm Drum lampshade.
The process of block printing is calming and meditative, and at the same time there's something really satisfying and exciting about seeing your pattern grow on a piece of fabric and then making something for your home.
