Journaling, keeping a diary, scrapbooking or just doodling provides relaxation, time to reflect and can improve our mental health. Brand new journals often feel too precious to use and end up gathering dust!
In this workshop you will create your special journal that will help overcome ‘Blank Page Syndrome’ by transforming a second-hand book and materials. You will use old postage envelopes, discarded papers and book pages to create the pages of the journal and bind them into your book cover of choice. This 3-hour workshop will offer enough time to create your own beautifully unique and individual journal.
WHAT TO BRING TO THE WORKSHOP
Participants should bring a second hand book they would like to transform. This book would ideally be a hardback book in a useful size for journaling, fairly thin and possibly with an attractive cover. In addition, the following are optional: any paper (tissue, wrapping or other paper), tickets, photos, envelopes, buttons, ribbon etc as fasteners. Feel free to bring any books or items that you would like to use or incorporate into your journal. We also have books and vintage papers that can be provided free of charge if you don't have any of your own that you would like to use.
Tea, coffee and cake will also be provided.
