Whether for your Christmas tree or all around your house, these Origami baubles are an eye catcher anywhere! Get into the festive spirit by making your own decorations using upcycled materials and decorative papers.
To make your Christmas baubles or spheres we will use a mixture of upcycled material and decorative papers to cut and fold the individual parts. Assembling them into one is slightly fiddly but hugely gratifying when you see your beautiful paper structure come together. Hang them up or keep them as they are, stick with one colour or mix up your modules, it's up to you.
*Please bring your own pencils and scissors. All other materials and equipment provided.
Children 12+ years welcome when accompanied by a paying adult.
About your tutor Ursula Pretsch (aka DeeOoshee):
I'm an Edinburgh-based creative maker with a particular interest in printmaking, upcycling and bookbinding. In this workshop I'm sharing with you one of my favourite-ever paper projects: once you've mastered the folding, the repetition is soothingly reassuring and its modular nature allows you to mix and match materials as you go.
