Come and spend a lovely morning learning how to weave willow swallows with East Lothian based professional basket weaver Jilly Greig.

Learn how to make the wing section of the 2D swallow using a figure of eight weave, then how to make the body of the swallow with the same weave. Jilly will show you how to tie in the two sections to form your beautiful swallow. You will have time to perfect your new learnings and make another one to fly along side it.

These little birds look great on a garden wall, or in your home, and even although it’s the end of swallow season before they all fly south for winter, this will keep your spirits up while they are away temporarily.

All materials and use of tools included, along with tea, coffee and homemade cake.

If you need to cancel a workshop

We do not offer refunds however we are happy for you to transfer the ticket to someone else so that it can be used. Please advise us of any name changes in advance of the workshop.

If you contact us at least 7 days in advance of a workshop, then we can see if someone on the waiting list can attend in your place. In this instance we would offer you a full refund if someone on the waiting list takes your place.

Our right to cancel a workshop

On the very rare occasion that we need to cancel a workshop due to unforeseen circumstances, we will give you as much notice as possible.

We reserve the right to cancel a workshop if the minimum attendance number has not been reached.

If we cancel the workshop you will be offered a full refund. Unfortunately we cannot accept liability for travel or other consequential costs.
