Bring some colour into Spring and come to a Block Printing Workshop! Join Karené and learn about printing pattern onto textiles with relief blocks.

We will use hand-carved wooden blocks from India, to explore pattern repeats. You will learn how to get the inking and the pressure just right and then create your own combinations of colour and motifs. First we will print onto a sheet of paper for gift wrap and then onto a light cotton scarf, perfect for wearing on Spring days.

The process of block printing is calming and meditative, and at the same time there's something really satisfying and exciting about gradually seeing a pattern grow on your fabric.

All materials and tools are included in the cost of this workshop. Items must be heat set at home with an iron, before washing (instructions will be provided). Tea, coffee and cake is also provided.

If you need to cancel a workshop

We do not offer refunds however we are happy for you to transfer the ticket to someone else so that it can be used. Please advise us of any name changes in advance of the workshop.

If you contact us at least 7 days in advance of a workshop, then we can see if someone on the waiting list can attend in your place. In this instance we would offer you a full refund if someone on the waiting list takes your place.

Our right to cancel a workshop

On the very rare occasion that we need to cancel a workshop due to unforeseen circumstances, we will give you as much notice as possible.

We reserve the right to cancel a workshop if the minimum attendance number has not been reached.

If we cancel the workshop you will be offered a full refund. Unfortunately we cannot accept liability for travel or other consequential costs.
