Want to make your own greeting cards with beautifully written message? Join us for 2.5 hours of modern calligraphy using a pointed pen and ink. Calligraphy is the perfect way to bring yourself back into the present moment, away from mental chatter. Calligraphy requires a deep focus and slow movements to place the right amount of pressure to obtain the thick and thin strokes forming each letters.

You will learn how to prepare the nib and hold the pointed pen and paper for comfort, the basic strokes that form letters, practise writing the alphabet (upper- and lower case), how to join letters to form words, practise writing festive greetings & phrases before moving onto your final project writing your very own greeting card & gift tags, learn how to make your own ink.

All material is provided and is yours to keep to continue your practice at home. Your calligraphy kit includes a workbook with practice sheets, templates and guidelines, a pointed pen, nib, ink and blank cards & gift tags.

The workshop is suitable for complete beginners and it doesn't require neat handwriting or drawing skills.

Tea, coffee and homemade cake is also included.

If you need to cancel a workshop

We do not offer refunds however we are happy for you to transfer the ticket to someone else so that it can be used. Please advise us of any name changes in advance of the workshop.

If you contact us at least 7 days in advance of a workshop, then we can see if someone on the waiting list can attend in your place. In this instance we would offer you a full refund if someone on the waiting list takes your place.

Our right to cancel a workshop

On the very rare occasion that we need to cancel a workshop due to unforeseen circumstances, we will give you as much notice as possible.

We reserve the right to cancel a workshop if the minimum attendance number has not been reached.

If we cancel the workshop you will be offered a full refund. Unfortunately we cannot accept liability for travel or other consequential costs.
