Weave your own decorative willow flower in this half-day workshop with Katie Warner. The perfect addition to your home or garden this summer, these woven flowers look great mounted on the wall or planted in the flowerbed on a vertical support (simply tie to a thick willow 'stem' which Katie will provide).

Suitable for complete beginners, this course will introduce you to some traditional basket making techniques and a beautifully sustainable artform, using 100% British willow.

Katie, who works as a professional basket maker and teacher in Edinburgh and the Scottish Borders, looks forward to introducing you to this beautifully sustainable craft. She will guide you through the deeply satisfying and meditative process of weaving your very own creation to take home.

Tea, coffee and homemade cakes will be provided to fuel your creativity!

All tools and materials supplied. Please wear clothes that you don't mind getting scruffy.

Katie is a member of the Basketmakers' Association, Scottish Basketmakers' Circle and the Northumbria Basketry Group.

We do not offer refunds however we are happy for you to transfer the ticket to someone else so that it can be used. Please advise us of any name changes in advance of the workshop.

If you contact us at least 7 days in advance of a workshop, then we can see if someone on the waiting list can attend in your place. In this instance we would offer you a full refund if someone on the waiting list takes your place.

Our right to cancel a workshop

On the very rare occasion that we need to cancel a workshop due to unforeseen circumstances, we will give you as much notice as possible.

We reserve the right to cancel a workshop if the minimum attendance number has not been reached.

If we cancel the workshop you will be offered a full refund. Unfortunately we cannot accept liability for travel or other consequential costs.
