Factory Lace Patterns
A collection of factory lace pattern cards originally from the Kilmarnock Lace Mill, dating to the 1950s. These cards were created by Wylie & Campbell, designers and draughtsmen involved in the Scottish textile industry. The lace industry relied heavily on skilled draughtsmen to translate intricate patterns onto carding, which directed the Jacquard looms to create lace patterns.
Hand drawn and coloured, these patterns are a beautiful remnant of Scottish industrial history. They have all been used within an industrial setting and have some soot deposits on them and other wear and tear through years of use.
The pattern cards are various sizes and prices. The hangers in the photos are not included.
